Southern French Accents

Mom and 85 year old neighbor(who has more energy than most) speaking with a cute southern french accent. They both speak Occitan if you ask them to. P.S. notice the church bell at the end...oh and notice the flyswatter just ready to swap! And try NOT to notice my annoying laugh.

  1. This was so fun to watch, Sandy! You are not kidding. They both have pronounced Southern accents. Your mom's neighbor is incredible! So much energy indeed. The way she rolls her "r"'s makes me wonder if this was shot somewhere in the Languedoc region... Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle

  5. Loved watching and listening to Denise and her 85 year old neighbor. Isn't she Yevette(sp)? I enjoyed her so much in Cruzy... what a spunky lady. Hope I'm like her when I'm 85 and also speaking French as good as her (big goal). Did you understand all they were talking about? :)

  6. Nina you are already a spunky lady! Yes, it is Yvette. I understood them for the most part. They still talk too fast for me at times. I got Dori signed up for a french class for the year. We are getting her ready for Cruzy!;)
