The Shardy Side of Vegas

DSC06694
Downtown Las Vegas, where it all began, is not the Vegas that people think they know. I met a nice English couple on my last trip to France, who thought Las Vegas was all glitz and glam. Well, I figured they were probably thinking of the Vegas with casinos like the Bellagio, Aria, Venetian, Mandalay Bay and Wynn. Although all very beautiful casinos, there is another Vegas further north on the strip - where it's tacky, bizarre and at times scary. The energy is nervous, but I go there to peek, to test myself and to take photographs for enjoyment.

  1. I've never been to Las Vegas before, but I can tell I do prefer this another Vegas, it seems much more real to me.

  5. You have presented your town under a unique angle. Typical tourists don't usually have enough time or determination to see Vegas from a different point of view.
